Rekindle is coming to Dundee and we’re looking for 8 Youth Pioneers to lead the way

Are you aged 16 to 25 and living in Dundee? Do you want to make a real difference in your community, gain invaluable CV skills, and believe in the power of young people to shape their own futures. 

Rekindle is launching its first Scottish after school learning provision in Dundee, and we are on the lookout for eight passionate youth pioneers to help us build a soulful sanctuary for 11 to 14-year-olds in the city.

Why Rekindle?

Rekindle is a proudly youth-led charity led by the belief that those closest to the challenges are closest to the solutions. We support young people to build solutions to their own challenges through after school provisions developed by our Youth Pioneers. 

Rekindle creates nurturing spaces rooted in critical thinking, creativity, changemaking and cultural education. We run thriving provisions in Manchester and London, and now we’re bringing Rekindle to the City of Discovery.

Our goal? To create fierce critical thinkers who challenge inherited truths, embrace curiosity, and step into the world with confidence, joy, and a sense of belonging.

What’s a Youth Pioneer?

Youth Pioneers are at the heart of everything we do. As a pioneer, you will:

• Collaborate with the Rekindle team to design our Dundee programme
• Shape workshops, events, and experiences that reflect your community’s values
• Develop skills to supercharge your CV and use in your life
• Be paid for your time, creativity, and commitment

This is a chance to make your voice heard and authentically realised in a youth-led space!

• Homework, study and school life support
• Practical life skill sessions
• A hot nutritious meal
• The 4’c’s Curriculum – Critical Thinking, Changemaking, Creativity and Cultural Education
• Support from teachers , mentors and youth workers
• Trips to industry and ‘real life’’ work experience 
• Excursions 
• Access to networks
