What is Rekindle all about?
We’re a youth-led movement flipping the script on education and creating spaces where working-class teens thrive. We’re big on helping young people to develop their critical thinking, creativity and life skills and designing “the school you wish you attended.”
What is a Youth Pioneer?
Rekindle was set up by a group of eight young people in Manchester. These Youth Pioneers came together to demand better from the education system. They helped to design and co-create Rekindle, to ensure it met the needs of young people.
Now, we’re looking for the next generation of Manchester based Youth Pioneers to bring unique perspectives and lived experience to the table, and to ensure Rekindle remains truly youth-led.
What will you do?
As a Youth Pioneer, you will:
- Be a key player in influencing and shaping Rekindle, collaborating with the London Youth Pioneers and the wider Rekindle team
- Share your experiences and insights of what it’s like to be a young person today and ensure we’re meeting the needs of young people and the wider community
- Have your say and help to design activities, workshops and events that happen at Rekindle Manchester
- Be an ambassador for Rekindle in your community
