Join Rekindle in ‘Reimagining Education’ at Manchester’s People’s History Museum

On Saturday 28th June, Reimagining Education – a bold, youth-driven event exploring what the future of education could look like if it were shaped by young people – will take place at the People’s History Museum in Manchester.
The day marks the culmination and celebration of a year-long journey led by six researchers (pictured above with Ellie Loughnan, Rekindle Foundation Director), each bringing powerful, real-world insights into how education can be made more inclusive, relevant and empowering.
Far from a typical education conference, the event promises a lively mix of creative presentations, discussion spaces, performances and good food, all designed to spark new thinking and conversation. Visitors can expect to hear real findings from peer-led research, take part in informal manifesto-writing and connect with others passionate about change.
This event and the research behind it centres what truly matters to young people and the educators who support them” says Ellie Loughnan. “Led by six first-time researchers who have become powerful changemakers, this is the beginning of a movement that everyone is welcome to join. Whether you’re a young person, educator, family member or youth worker – come to listen, share and help shape what’s next
The event is free and open to all, whether you want to get stuck into the conversations or simply listen and soak it in. Attendees are welcome to drop in for part of the day or stay for the full programme, but places are limited so booking is essential.
